Candidate Newsletter 18-11-2010
Our Agent, the myFairPartner Search.
Most agencies screen and interview people. we don’t.
Many agencies go through a process of screening and working with candidates to place them in positions. This is because they have individual agents whose job it is to fill positions and make a commission off of that. This is probably what most people expect when coming to an agency
Instead, our search engine does the work. This makes the cost of employeeing people much lower and should encourage employers to take people on. In the long run, we’d like our software create a more efficient labour market.
New Work Experience Fields
Now you can add responsibilities and duties under your work experience. This is relatively new so most of our candidates are missing this in their profiles.
Once you’ve done this your profile will look much stronger than the profiles that haven’t. This definitely increases your chances of getting the job you want. Remember, only 15% of people put in their work experience!

Test driving our new myFairPartner Tumblr blog
I can only hope the test drive of this blog goes better than my last drive in our MD’s Toyota Aygo.
I’m a motorcyclist. I normally ride a Suzuki GSXR 600 super sports bike. Unfortunately my baby was stolen recently. It was recovered by the police but she needs a bit of work done to it before she’ll be street worthy again. Until then, our MD has allowed me to use his economic car.
On my lunch break today I went down to the local charity shop with our Product Manager to drop off a collection of items they may find valuable; Leather cowboy boots, some Linux and Computer Application books, and a few boxed Learn Spanish sets and other delights. You know what they say, one person’s trash is another’s treasure.
I had to parallel park for possibly the second time since I got my car license sometime last decade. I managed to wedge the car in to the small gap, but it was a good foot from the curve when I got out. Fortunately as the car is so narrow, unlike our MD whom is built more like a titan, it wasn’t sticking out any further than the adjacent cars.
By comparison, configuring tumblr for myFairPartner has been a piece of cake.
